I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
